This week there has been a Covid-19 vaccination bus visiting various locations across Blackburn with Darwen, providing free first doses of the Pfizer covid-19 vaccine to people in Blackburn.
As well as making access to a vaccine easier and more convenient, clinicians on board the bus will be able to answer questions and address any concerns you may have. There is no need to book an appointment to visit the vaccine bus so please just attend, but follow social distancing rules.
The current criteria are:
- Aged 30 and over
- Aged 18 and over with ANY underlying health conditions
- Aged 18 and over AND living, caring or working with anyone with underlying health conditions
- Health and Social Care staff
- Any carers – paid or unpaid. You will not be asked for proof as unpaid carers are eligible.
The vaccination bus is in addition to the sites in Penny Street, Revidge Fold Church, Royal Blackburn Hospital and Everest Pharmacy in Darwen which are also delivering first dose Pfizer vaccines. These sites are appointment only and bookings can be made at www.healthierlsc.co.uk/getmyjab
