Welcome to QEGS Blackburn Acadamy Trust. Our Trust contains Queen Elizabeth’s Primary School (4-11) and Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School (11-19). Our schools provide the highest standards of independent education to the local and wider community without charge. 

We have the advantage here of knowing our pupils and students well as individuals, which is not always possible in larger institutions. Each pupil and students has a Form Tutor who has oversight of their academic progress. The Form Tutor is also able to view each individual’s extra-curricular commitment so that, while we strongly encourage involvement in the many opportunities the school offers beyond the classroom, a sense of balance is maintained.

We understand and share the belief that academic performance must come first and that results must be the best possible. This only happens when pastoral care is of a high standard, and pupils and students are able to approach staff in the sure knowledge that time and expertise will be available to them.

We retain an independent-school ethos, placing strong emphasis on high academic standards, exemplary behaviour and extra-curricular commitment. This combination, as we know from our 500 years of experience, is a guarantee of success.
