A great time was had by Year 6 when they visited Fishmoor Reservoir and Canalside Scout Camp last week.
Following the hard work they had put in to prepare for their SATs tests, they were ready for lots of fun and excitement.
It was wonderful to see pupils working together in their teams to conquer challenges, learning valuable life skills in teamwork, communication, and resilience through a mixture of activities including archery, axe throwing, building campfires, toasting marshmallows, and a Harry Potter-themed orienteering exercise.
Miss Tattersall, Year 6 Teacher, said “We had so much fun on the activity days. Pupils were enthusiastic and worked well together. A local dog walker commented on the excellent behaviour of our pupils, referring to them as a credit to QEGS.
We are exceptionally proud of our pupils.”
Miss Jennings, Year 6 Teacher said “We had two fantastic yet tiring days, our pupils showed resilience in trying out new and exciting activities and worked really well together.”
