As part of National Storytelling Week, pupils from Primary Phase paid a visit to the Senior School Library to celebrate reading fiction at QEGS.
The week has been celebrated annually for the last fourteen years and this year, each class in Year 3 and 4 took part in a tour of the Library and listened to a short story with Mrs Dewhurst. Then, pupils took part in fun activities that accompanied the books being read in the sessions.
The Reading Agency generously donated books for the celebrations, including ‘Winnie and Wilbur’ by Valerie Thomas and ‘Kitty’ by Paula Harrison.
We’d like to say thank you to the Reading Agency and we hope the visits continue to inspire a lifelong love for reading!
