On Wednesday 19th September Mr Taylor, The Head of Careers, and Miss Wildman accompanied a group of Year 11 and 12 pupils and students to Edge Hill for the day, as part of their Widening Participation programme. Students took part in a very informative morning workshop delivered by Anna Wooley, and her colleagues from Student Services, about the support services available at the university. Two current Edge Hill students then gave our pupils and students an excellent and informative tour of the campus before all having lunch in the Lakeside Café. After lunch pupils and students took part in a skills based workshop designed to encourage them to think about their strengths and to work together in teams to create a brand new society for the Edge Hill University Students’ Union. They all came away from the visit having gained excellent information about university life and will hopefully be thinking more clearly about their own possible options and career pathways.
