Earlier today, secondary pupils, sixth form students and staff took part in a service to remember those who gave their lives in service of the country, which included a reading from our Head Boy and a poem from our Head Girl. The service was streamed live from the main hall to classrooms and the dining hall.

At 11.00 a bell sounded and all pupils and students were asked to stand. The Head then read the well-know words ” They shall grown not old as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.”

This was immediately followed by a two-minute silence which was beautifully observed. After the end of the service all pupils and students respectfully filed past the War Memorials in secondary school.

Our pupils in Reception each made poppies which they combined and made into a wreath, which was displayed on our War Memorial and all of our Primary School pupil’s took part in a two-minute silence.
