Pupils in Key Stage 2 were transported to places outside their classroom when they took part in a virtual reality workshop.

Virtual reality aims to simulate an experience and create what’s called a “sense of presence.”

The VR headsets enabled pupils to experience a range of topics including WW2, Volcanoes and the Stone Age period. Pupils were amazed to find themselves in new places and in some instances, back into a time long ago.

Class teacher Miss Tattersall said “Everything felt very surreal. Pupils loved the VR headsets and said the experience made them feel as if they were in the moment.”
