Pupils in Year 5 embraced their recent learning topic ‘Vikings’.
They used junk modeling equipment to create settlement models and used clay to create Viking coins before painting them silver for effect.
During their research, they discovered that coins were valued according to their weight. Using scales and lead weights they weighed out the silver coins to see which were the most ‘valuable’!
As part of their DT project, pupils also made Viking longships! They used lots of different materials, skills and their wonderful imaginations to create some excellent pieces of work.
Well done Year 5!
