Following a further update by the Department for Education, pupils in Year 11 and students in Year 13 will be invited to collect their results on the originally planned dates of the 13th August (A level) and 20th August (GCSE).

As referred to in our last examination update here, by the end of May, we will have submitted fair, objective and carefully-considered judgements of the grades we believe our Year 11 pupils and Year 13 students would have achieved, should they have sat the planned summer examinations. Pupils will be given the option to sit examinations in the Autumn term and appeal their awarded grades, should they wish to. Schools will not be permitted to share their submitted grades with pupils, students, parents or carers, under any circumstances, until the final results are issued. This is to manage pupils’ and students’ expectations, whilst ensuring a fair submission is made for every pupil and student.

On the 20th August, should they achieve the entry requirements of 5 Grade 5s, Year 11 pupils wishing to enrol at QEGS Sixth Form will be able to do so once they have collected their results, from 8.00 am to 3.00pm. Pupils from other high schools will be welcome to enrol, from 9.30am to 3.00pm.

As a reminder, it is highly recommended that pupils and students continue to complete work in order to prepare themselves for their next stage in education, training or employment.
