QEGS recently welcomed RAF Squadron Leader Ed Stephens into school to deliver an extended assembly to Year 13 about opportunities and careers within the RAF.
Squadron Leader Ed gave a very personal account of his 17 years in the RAF as a pilot, and also spoke about the many opportunities available post 16, offering apprenticeships and also the possibility of entering the Force as an Officer following A levels or equivalent.
It was an extremely interactive assembly for Year 13, organised by our Careers department. Ed really gave our students something to think about, most of which had never considered in training to become a Chef, nurse or lawyer, within the RAF family.
