The Physical Education Faculty at QEGS was delighted to host the 2024/25 Sports Awards ceremony to share the award winners for this academic year.  The annual awards event, held at Ewood Park Football Stadium earlier in the month, recognised performance, commitment, improvement, and excellent playing attitudes shown across the school year.

The audience enjoyed a captivating vocal performance, of the song ‘Never Enough’ from the Greatest Showman, from Year 8 pupil, Amber Beech.

QEGS welcomed special guest speaker Yasir Sufi.  Yasir currently serves as the Integration Manager at Blackburn Rovers FC, a pioneering role that is now being emulated nationwide.  He has been a driving force behind several inspiring community initiatives, including the ‘Ewood Express’—a transport service enabling local children to attend home matches at Ewood Park.

We would like to thank Yasir for giving up his time to attend our event.
