Over the course of their February Games sessions, 20 Sixth Form students, including some aspiring medics, had the opportunity to complete a fully accredited First Aid course.

They took part in a range of practical activities such as practicing CPR, applying bandages and (with the aid of training tools) using back thrusts to stop someone choking. In addition, they learned about identifying strokes, how to treat burns, and what to do if someone has a heart attack.

Students had a great time joining in with the course. In the final week, students took an assessment to demonstrate their newly learned skills and knowledge.

We are thrilled to say that they all passed!

We would like to thank CJR Training for offering this to our students.

Congratulations to our newly qualified First Aiders!
