We know this is a worrying time for our Sixth Form applicants and there are a lot of questions that need to be answered. However, we firstly wanted to let parents, carers and pupils know each applicant’s conditional offer is safe with us.

For those applicants who have not done so already, it is essential they return the conditional offer form that has been given to them. This can be returned in the post (via the address provided) or via email to sixth@qegsblackburn.com.

We do not currently have any further answers than those here in regards to GCSEs results and timelines. As soon as we do, we will be in touch with each applicant to let them know the next steps to enrol.

Enrolment day was due to be held on GCSE results day in August but we now expect the calculated grades to be announced in July, meaning we most likely will bring enrolment day forward.

For now, it is essential Year 11 pupils focus on continuing their daily study, which will help keep them on track ahead of starting their A level study.

We are looking forward to welcoming each student into Sixth Form and wish our entire school community good health in the meantime.
