This year’s Old Blackburnians’ Association annual dinner is on Saturday 19th December.  We’re pleased to announce that the dinner has once again been brought in line with the date of the OBA annual football match so anyone wanting to attend these events can make a weekend of it!

Last year’s dinner was as popular as ever and a huge vote of thanks goes to our 2019 chief Guest Alastair Gordon for the time he spent with our art pupils on the Friday before the dinner and for the wonderful picture he donated to school.  Thanks also to Malcolm Russell for kindly agreeing to give the Toast to School, and managing to fit a very brief synopsis of his 32 years at school into a whole five minutes, and thanks of course to all our guests for attending.

This year’s Chief Guest is Anthony Pickles.  Anthony was at QEGS from 1999 until 2006 and is currently Head of Tourism Affairs for VisitBritain.

If you’d like to attend this year’s dinner, please contact Taania Duckworth on 01254 686308 or email tduckworth@qegsblackburn.com.  It’s never too early to book your ticket.
