Congratulations to Nicole Saunders, who will be representing Blackburn with Darwen in the Athletics YDL series Premier North West league, where she will be competing in the hammer, javelin and discus. This follows her recent success in achieving a new PB in the hammer, and reaching a distance above an English schools standard in the discus, in which she achieved 1st place with a throw that exceeded 28 metres.
This weekend Nicole will be competing in the British Youth Fencing Championships, representing the North West region. The finest fencers from around the UK will be hoping to secure the title to become U16 British Youth Champion; a title Nicole held in the U12 age group.
