The start of the new academic year meant it was time to celebrate Roald Dahl Day. This was probably the best turnout QEGS have EVER had for this event!
Over 30 new Year 7 pupils were all eager to take part and the Library soon became full of happy voices, curious minds and lots of laughter!
Fun activities were in place for those who wanted to ‘drop in’ with the ‘Dream Jar’ being the most popular. Pupils also had the chance to watch ‘Matilda’ and take part in Roald Dahl competitions. A great event which was well attended with pupils winning lots of prizes.
Mrs Dewhurst, our Librarian, would like to offer special thanks to Year 8 pupil, Amelia Shigri and her mother for creating the amazing posters to promote the event and also providing some delicious lunch time treats!
