The Department of Education has recently published updated data for 2018/19 and we are delighted to be able to announce that QEGS has been awarded an ‘above average’ progress score at A level. This means students in QEGS’ Sixth Form are making more progress, on average, than students across England who gained similar results at the end of Key Stage 4 study.

As a result, this score puts QEGS in the top 22% of colleges in the country for student progress.

Head, Mrs CY Gammon, explained: “The upward trajectory of our progress in Sixth Form is very impressive to see. I am proud of the staff and students who are working daily to ensure that progress is being made and that students will leave us at the end of Year 13 with excellent examination results. It is notoriously difficult to get an ‘above average’ progress score so we are very pleased to see this success within our growing Sixth Form.”

If you would like to know more about QEGS Sixth Form, we will be holding an Open Evening on the 13th February 2020, 5-7pm. 2020/21 applications to our Sixth Form can be made here.
