Representatives from The Football Association (FA) and a film crew will spend the day at QEGS on Friday 7th February to film pupils for the Girls’ Football Schools Partnership.
The full day of filming will result in a bank of images and videos being created which will be used to train Primary Phase teachers across the country, as they work towards the FA Primary Teachers Award with the Youth Sport Trust.
The FA chose QEGS to film a realistic Primary environment, using a total of 84 pupils from Year 2, 4 and 6 with a mix of boys and girls taking part. Pupils have been selected at random to spend the day being coached through various skills and drills by qualified FA coaches. The content will then be used as a training tool for the thousands of schools across the country who want to develop girls’ football at Primary Phase age, via an online training portal.
Photos and videos from the day will be shared on our social media pages and website in the coming weeks.
