Staff, pupils, students and their families celebrated the early May Bank Holiday, marking 75 years since ‘Victory in Europe’ day.
Members of the QEGS community have shared photos of what was a glorious, sunny day that allowed the nation to remember those who gave so much during the Second World War.
Below are a range of photos of quintessentially British traditions, including tea, cakes, scones, bunting and socially-distanced street parties! Mr Smith also marked the day by visiting the Darwen Moors memorial plot for Polish Pilot Herbert Noga, with his family.
Thank you to all those who shared their VE Day photos.
