Pupils celebrate a virtual ‘National Storytelling Week’

After an impressive response to our National Storytelling Week competition, a lucky winner has been selected.

Year 4 pupil Alex Zhou has won the ‘Bumper Book Bundle’ prize from the Senior School Library after his parents stated that he would love the prize to help with the reading he does each night with his siblings.

Mrs Dewhurst, Senior School Librarian, was spoilt for choice and once entries had been narrowed down to the final ten, she asked Year 8 Pupil Librarians to choose the winner. Alex visited the Senior Phase Library on Monday to collect his prize which had been prepared by Mrs Dewhurst.

Rounding off the week, Mrs Dewhurst also held a storytelling session with Year 4 and 5. Pupils joined via Google Meet from home and from school to listen to ‘Incredible Record Smashes’, thanks to the Reading Agency. Pupils, parents, carers and staff enjoyed the session which rounded off another week of remote learning in the Primary Phase.
