Students in Year 12 explored the Attachment Theory through the use of eggs, as part of the Psychology A level study. The ‘children’ spent the weekend at students’ homes, having spent Friday waiting for their Egg-parents in the ‘Q-Eggs’ Nursery.

Students, having decorated and named their ‘children’ have been asked to use their knowledge of attachment to interact with their eggs.

The project, which is being introduced by Psychology teacher Miss Woodward, aims to encourage the application of Attachment theories by key researchers such as Bowlby, Ainsworth and Rutter. It is hoped that the diaries students have been asked to complete will demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of the A Level content and there will be lots of securely attached eggs!

We are looking forward to seeing the results of this project and what the students discover about themselves!
