Organised by Year 11 Form Tutors Miss Caville and Mrs Albiston, the social highlight of the year finally arrived and saw pupils gather for one last time to celebrate their years at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in style.

Stanley House Hotel and Spa was the perfect setting for our hardworking Year 11’s to celebrate the end of the academic year, and a perfect chance to say goodbye to their teachers, who had challenged and supported them through their school days.

Our pupils rose to the occasion exceptionally well and it was evident that they had put a great deal of effort into their outfits with everyone looking stunning, confident and ready for the world.

The legendary QEGS Prom awards brought humour to the evening with a great selection of awards up for grabs.

The dining room was beautifully decorated with a black and gold theme and a beautiful balloon arch created by QEGS staff member Sam Monk to complement the backdrop.  The food was delicious, with pupils and staff enjoying the moment to engage in conversation.

As the evening came to an end there were many farewell hugs and tearful goodbyes.

Mrs Cross, Head of Year 11 said: What a memorable occasion for our class of 2024. Thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this year’s prom and to Stanley House Hotel and Spa for the perfect venue.
