RE

Pupils at Queen Elizabeth’s Primary School are taught RE on a biweekly basis where time is dedicated to pupils gaining a deep understanding of difference religions and cultures. In EYFS, pupils are taught to develop positive attitudes towards and use our Golden Principle ‘Respect’ to learn about each other’s beliefs and understandings.  In Year 1-6, pupils are taught about all 6 main religions at some point during their education at Queen Elizabeth’s Primary School Primary. The curriculum is taught through stories, visits, visitors, images and artefacts. Pupils are encouraged to ask questions and learn to respect and understand each other’s faiths and beliefs. Pupils also look at the values and traditions of individuals, communities and cultures whilst similarities and differences are discussed at length to help our pupils understand differing viewpoints.
