Dear Parents and Carers,

Another week has flown by; they seem to be going by even faster! I hope that you and your families are all keeping safe and well, despite the lack of sunshine this week. We really miss our usual busy, fun-filled atmosphere.

Given the guidance that came out to schools very late on Friday last week, we made amendments to the reopening of school following the Local Authority guidance. As you are aware, the guidance is constantly being updated and we are doing everything possible to ensure that as a school, we are ready for any changes that may need to be put in place and also to share new information with you.

Please do keep monitoring the school website and media platforms for any updates. Any questions you may have about your child/children returning to school can be made via the following email – partialclosure@QEGSBlackburn.com or myself at hsouthworth@qegsblackburn.com

New home learning grids have been created for the next two weeks for KS1 and KS2. EYFS home learning will move to be a weekly grid and can be found here and here. The home learning grids for the next two weeks have been designed with a nature theme. We challenge you to complete as many of the activities as possible, and send us at least one photo of you or your work to this email address homelearning@qegsblackburn.com . We would like to create a display of all your home learning and need lots of photographs.

The home learning grids, Week Commencing 15.06.2020 can be found here and they can also be accessed via the links above. You can also access all of the other resources within the one drive link.

Please continue to encourage your children to keep working hard at home and send us a photo via email this week, for our shared display. We love seeing all the things you are doing at home, as we miss everyone being at school and they really do make us smile. We are really proud of you!

Warmest and safest wishes,

Mrs Southworth and the Primary Phase Team
