Year 10 pupil Paige Feast has received recognition from the Motivate Sports Young Leadership programme, whilst at home during the third lockdown.

The training, which was arranged through the Girl Guides over a two-day period, helped Paige learn about how sport can enable social action and benefit those in the local community. During the virtual sessions, Paige was taught how to deliver a sporting event safely including planning, risk assessments and further qualifications she could take.

Paige then put what she had learned into practice and delivered a dance session to 20 girls via Zoom. She hopes to hold more virtual sessions and when restrictions allow, she wants to progress her training to assist with in-person sporting events. She is also looking forward to continuing her work as volunteer swimming coach when swimming pools reopen.

Well done page, keep up the hard work!
