QEGS pupil, Oscar Kelly became Rochdale’s third youngest ever debut during last week’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Bristol Rovers. 

He appeared as an 86th-minute substitute at the Memorial Stadium, at the age of 15 years, eight months and 29 days.  

Oscar has recently been part of Nothern Ireland Under-16s’ Victory Shield campaign, having also represented his country at Under-17 level. 

Oscar also won the LFE Goal of the Month award in April this year.  His goal against Fleetwood Town picked up 46% of the vote (4,881 votes). 

The Under-16 Academy player also won the 2021/22 Youth Team Goal of the Season.
