Following the transition of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School to a free school in 2013, the Old Blackburnians’ Association has now taken the decision to withdraw its membership fee.
All pupils/former pupils will now automatically become Life Members of the Association upon leaving school.
As a result, any OBA members who pay their membership fee on an annual basis will be transferred to Life Members and should contact their bank to cancel their payment. Unfortunately, the OBA is not able to cancel the payment on members’ behalves because fees are paid by standing order which requires instructions to be made by the account holder only.
Annual members may, if they wish, continue with their annual payments which will be treated as donations going forward and used for the benefit of the Old Blackburnians’ Association and school.
