School was a hive of activity and creativity on 13th November as we took part in the No Pens Day Wednesday.
No Pens Day Wednesday is a national event that encourages schools to put down their pens and to run a day of speaking and listening activities. The day is run in partnership with I CAN, the children’s communication charity. Throughout the day, pupils enjoyed a whole range of sessions which involved whispering corridors, string debates, drama, building marshmallow towers, carousels and lots of hands-on activities. The whole school community embraced the challenge to develop learning in different ways, emphasising the need to communicate effectively orally.
We are already looking forward to next year’s event!
