We are delighted to announce that a long-awaited digital eBook platform has launched this week in QEGS’ Senior Phase Library.
The easy-to-use system has been introduced with over 2,000 publications live and ready to be explored by our pupils and students. Several of the books available to read are matched for the Accelerated Reader programme, which pupils in Year 7 and 8 follow in Senior Phase and can be accessed by any device connected to the internet.
Mrs Dewhurst, Senior School Librarian, explains: “I am so excited to have the platform go live this week. It has been a long-term project that we have been working on in the library and it is great that we can finally say it is ready. There are thousands of books available for pupils and students, all of which can be accessed by the SORA app… Just in time for the long Easter break!”
Instructions are being rolled out this week during library lessons for Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils, with more information available to all pupils and students by the end of the week. To find out more about the platform, please contact Vdewhurst@QEGBlackburn.com.
