National Non-Fiction November is the Federation of Children’s Book Groups’ annual celebration of all things factual. Born out of National Non-Fiction Day, the whole month now celebrates all those readers that have a passion for information and facts and attempts to bring non-fiction celebration in line with those of fiction.

During November, our school Library organised lots of activities to surround this special month – collaborating with other departments, which included the annual Remembrance display, a Readathon, lettering with DT, a Coding activity, both Business Studies and Sociology created mini libraries, a display of brand new non-fiction resources, animal Art, Bloomsbury Publishers 12 months of all things factual, a Skype session with the ever-popular children’s author Tom Palmer, and not forgetting our Primary Phase and the Walker Book Publisher poster competition.

An eventful time was had by all – with an extra 275 non-fiction books being issued during November!
