Year 11 pupil Nathan May earned a bronze medal at the ‘King of the Ring’ competition in Sweden in November. Nathan, who had recent success in the British Club Boxing Championships in Ireland, earned a place in the semi-finals, beating a former-Swedish champion in the previous round.

Competing in the 60kg category, Nathan faced the third-best international boxer in his age group and weight class, in the semi-finals. Though he battled hard and many believed him to be the winner, his Swedish opponent secured the overall win, earning Nathan a bronze medal in one of the highest standards of boxing in the world.

Congratulations, Nathan!
