Mr Richard Marshall, former Head of Sixth Form, Passes Away

We have been informed of the sad passing of a former member of staff and Head of Sixth Form, Richard Marshall, at the age of 48.  Richard was at school from 1998 until 2006, when he left to take up the position of Head at Bury Grammar School before moving to Ashville College, Harrogate as Head three years ago.

Richard was a popular and much loved teacher, colleague and friend.  He made a difference wherever he went.  He loved technology and was a basketball fanatic, representing England in the sport as a schoolboy and playing for the British University England team as well as captaining his university first team.

Our condolences and prayers are with his wife Kym and children Ethan, Emily and Harry.  He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

A service celebrating Richard’s life will be held at a later date.  Donations can be made in his memory to Saint Michael’s Hospice, Harrogate.
