A group of Year 13 French and Spanish students took part in a tough debating competition with over 10 schools from across the north-west. Students had to debate some difficult and thought-provoking topics in the language they are studying with motions being:
Tourism benefits the world
Parents should not have more than two children
Young people should have the right to vote at age 16
All students acquitted themselves very well; arguments were robust with strong exemplification and our competitors justifies their ideas convincingly. They showed skill in reacting spontaneously when points were challenged. The students did themselves and the School proud.
