Last week, fifteen local employers kindly gave their time to come to QEGS and take part in a careers speed networking activity, with our Year 8 and 9 pupils. The purpose of this interactive event was to allow pupils to explore some of the diverse businesses in the local area and find out more about the many different entry routes available to them.
The fun activity organised by Mrs Powell, Head of Careers, and held in Singleton House saw pupils asking questions to find out about the different employer’s businesses as well as the qualifications and skills they would need to gain to work within them. During the activity, pupils also enjoyed asking questions to the employers about their own career journeys since leaving school.
It was an amazing event and it was fantastic that the pupils got to meet so many employers face to face.
We would like to say a big thank you to all of the employers who attended and we look forward to working more with them in the future.
