Year 11 and 12 Mathematic students attended a maths inspiration event, a national programme of interactive lecture shows.

Pupils and students experienced the UK’s most inspiring speakers presenting mathematics live in the context of exciting, real-world applications.

Mathematics Teacher, Mrs Berry said “It was interesting to hear about the different career opportunities that arise from studying Mathematics at University; in particular the mathematics behind tomography and how this research is conducted to aid understanding of how Alzheimer’s disease develops in the brain.  The students came away from the experience with a clearer understanding of how diverse mathematics can be!”
