Following recent book fairs held with Usborne Books, the Senior Phase Library has received a selection of free books.
For each book sold to parents and carers at the two virtual events, the school benefited with free books donated to the library by the organisation.
Mrs Dewhurst, Senior Phase Librarian, explained: “It is the first time we have done anything like this as a school and I was really pleased with the response from our parents and carers. Many of them bought books for all ages at the virtual events run by Usborne Books.”
“It is definitely something we will do again as we thoroughly encourage reading at home and always love it when we can grow to our already-huge school library collection!”
