Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope that you have all enjoyed the lovely weather we have been blessed with this week and you are keeping well.
Please find the new learning grids for the final two weeks of this academic year in the OneDrive and here, here and here. It will also be posted on Class Charts and on ClassDojo today. These focus on keeping healthy and active, as we have been unable to hold our annual Sports Day. Please continue to send photographs of completed work and challenges to homelearning@qegsblackburn.com especially as Mrs Bamber is looking forward to seeing how you get on with the class challenges!
As promised in my last letter you will find below Forms for next year. We are delighted to welcome Miss Harris, Miss Ryan and Miss Holden (Maternity cover for Mrs Egan) to our QEGS family of teachers and they are very excited to meet you.
We are sad to be saying goodbye to Miss Fox and Miss Brookes who are moving onto new posts within education. Miss Fox will be moving to a Primary School closer to home as a Year 6 teacher and Miss Brookes will be embarking upon a slight change in direction, taking on a position as music and drama teacher in a Sixth Form College. We are very sorry to see them go and wish them all the very best for their new positions.
Forms for next Year:
As part of transition, we will be releasing a short video to each class via the website in the final week of term. This will allow new Form Teachers to introduce themselves to the pupils, more information will be sent out via KKS in due course.
In addition to this, I am delighted to announce that we will be holding our annual Primary Phase Prize Giving virtually this year via our Facebook page on Wednesday 8th July. Throughout the day, Prizes will be shared every half an hour along with some staff messages.
Please continue to encourage your children to keep working hard at home and know that we are really proud of all the hard work you have been doing!
Warmest and safest wishes,
Mrs Southworth and the Primary Phase Team
