Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy Friday! I hope that you and your families are all safe and well and adjusting to the ever-changing ‘new normal’
As I promised in my last letter, updated guidance for the classes returning to school has been emailed and information is being regularly updated on the school website. Please do keep monitoring the school website and social media platforms for any updates. Any questions you may have about your child/children returning to school can be made via the following email: partialclosure@QEGSBlackburn.com or myself at hsouthworth@qegsblackburn.com.
We hope that you are enjoying the home learning grids posted last week and there will be new girds available next Friday. Please keep your photographs of completed work and challenges coming into the email address homelearning@qegsblackburn.com to allow us to create a display of all your hard work!
I will be emailing the new Form Teachers and class movement for September by the end of next week via KKS and the end of year written reports will be posted out to you at the beginning of July.
Next week, I will be asking parents of EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils to collect PE or swimming kits that were left in school before lockdown. We will be leaving them in an area that you can come and collect whilst maintaining social distancing guidelines on Wednesday and Thursday. I will send out a separate KKS to inform you of the location. Any other items such as pencil cases will be moved to the new classroom for pupils.
As next week is ‘National Schools Sport Week at Home’ there are some online netball skill activities that you can sign up for by clicking this link.
Please continue to encourage your children to keep working hard at home and know that we are really proud of you!
Warmest and safest wishes,
Mrs Southworth and the Primary Phase Team
