Students in A level Latin joined forces with last year’s AS Latin students to celebrate the ‘Ides of March’ in their own lunch break.

Head Boy Seb Roberts took the role of ‘Jeremius Kylius’ who accused Brutus (Jess Walsh) and Cassius (Lina Dalal) of murdering Caesar in the senate, exploring the meaning of the ‘Ides of March’. They also used Kahoot to revise their knowledge of the A Level set text, Cicero’s ‘Philippics’ and competed against Miss Grindley and Miss Hall (who are not prepared to share the result!)

The students had great fun and enjoyed the modern interpretation of the event, most-notably known for its feature in Shakespeare’s ‘Julius Caesar’.
