On Friday 18th May the Year 13 leavers of Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School Sixth Form had their final assembly in the Sixth Form Common Area.

Students came together in the Sixth Form common room whilst Year 12 Student, Toby Saxty, played the piano .

The assembly featured the well known ‘Awards Ceremony’ that saw students receive awards for ‘Best Dressed’ ‘Most Likely to Become a Millionaire’ ‘Best Double Act’ and ‘Best Couple’ to name few before moving on to contributions from Mr Hindle, Head of QEGS Sixth Form, Form tutors, Mr Smith, Miss Chaplehow, Mr Peat and Miss Cooper on behalf of Mr Sanderson, Head of Careers, Mrs Powell, and Student Support Advisor, Mrs Seedat.

Mrs Gammon, Executive Head offered moving words of encouragement and praised students for their hard work and commitment over the last 2 years.

It was a lovely afternoon and an emotional goodbye to our hard-working and successful Year 13 students.

We wish them all the best for the future and look forward to welcoming them back on results day on Thursday 15th August 2024
