Future Apprentices Head To Birmingham For World Skills Show

Mr Taylor and Miss Ash accompanied a group of Year 10 and Year 11 pupils interested in apprenticeships to the World Skills UK show at the NEC. Whilst it was a considerable minibus drive there and back, it was an excellent event with a huge number of exhibitors covering a wide range of careers.

The pupils had the opportunity to talk to the representatives from each organisation and tried out many of the activities on offer whilst there, including trying their hand at bricklaying and floral arranging. The pupils wandered around lorries, racing cars and even helicopters, understanding where an apprenticeship could take them in the future. The pupils have gained a huge amount information from the day and it was a very worthwhile experience that we hope excites them for their future careers!
