The highly-anticipated Senior Phase Prizegiving ceremony looked a little different this year, presented virtually through the medium of Twitter.

The presentation, which ran from 9-4pm on Wednesday, celebrated a range of prize winners from individual subject recognition to GCSE and A level attainment awards.

Mrs Gammon opened and closed the ceremony, which was shared across school during the day and emphasised the fantastic achievements seen in school despite the challenges that every pupil and student faced during 2019/2020 academic year.

Mrs Gammon reflected: “Our Prizegiving ceremony is always a highlight of the calendar at QEGS and we very much missed our usual large event which could not take place this term due to the current restrictions. However, we are very proud of each and every one of our winners in each category and they will receive their prizes in the coming days.”

“We hope that our new pupils and students in school see the success and attainment that our pupils and students leave QEGS with and feel inspired to work just as hard as those recognised in today’s ceremony. Well done to all of our winners and we wish you all the best of luck with your future studies and careers.”
