Senior School pupils took part in a special lunchtime event in the Library raising money for Drone SAR, a charity that helps reunite missing dogs with their owners through the use of drone technology. The charity was selected by this year’s Pupil Librarians, who voted for their favourite charity to decide where the proceeds of the event should go to.
The lunchtime event featured a festive sale, including books, handmade book art and book marks, as well as sweets and book treat bags. There was also a ‘Book Flood’, where pupils took a free book with the aim being to read it on Christmas Eve as one large QEGS joint read!
Finally, Mrs Dewhurst ran a book-based Christmas quiz for attendees, rounding off a busy lunch time in the final week of Michaelmas term.
Thank you to all those who attended and we wish you a lovely festive break, and a happy new year!
