Mr Taylor (Head of Careers) and Mrs Walmsley (Head of Business Studies and Economics) took a group of 14 Y12 Business and Economic A level students to a Careers and Entrepreneurship event at Blackburn College as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week. The students heard a number of talks from local entrepreneurs about their business, how they set the business up, the obstacles that they have had to overcome and what they think it takes young people to become a successful entrepreneur. There was a chance at the end for our students to ask questions to the 7 contributors and to talk to them about their experiences and to ask advice. Maybe in the future, this will inspire one of then to be the next Alan Sugar or Deborah Meaden!
