On a glorious day in May, former QEGS students Anas Ganchi, Samantha Hepworth and Safeerah Sidat attended Buckingham Palace to receive their Gold, Duke of Edinburgh award.
Upon arrival at Buckingham Palace, everyone had an opportunity to explore the extensive Palace gardens, and prior to the start of the presentations, the group met with TV presenter Dr Ranj Singh.
Following a brief presentation from the regional host on royal protocol, HRH The Countess of Wessex, Trustee for the Duke of Edinburgh’s award spoke to the group and congratulated them on achieving the award and also allowed them to share stories of their DofE journeys.
Dr Ranj Singh then presented the certificates to the students, with just enough time for more photographs and celebrity spotting, before heading home, after a wonderfully memorable day.
