A small group of Year 9 pupils travelled to Delamere Forest to take part in an activity day with Blackburn Central High School.
The visit is part of three collaborative events being undertaken to bring about community cohesion, promoting equality and diversity through ‘The Linking Project’. Pupils spent their time up in the tree tops within the ‘Go Ape’ complex, working together to encourage each other to complete the ‘Tree Top Trail’.
After the excitement of rope challenges and zip wires, the group enjoyed lunch together and started to make new friends.
The project continues with the group visiting each other’s school and learning what it is like to be part of each other’s school community.
