We have recently been informed of the passing of David John Pitman on 27th December 2018, aged 66.  A former chemistry teacher, David lived in Lytham and was an avid ornithologist.  He leaves his sons Stephen and Simon and his sister Mary.  Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
