Comic Relief returns this March and we are encouraging the QEGS community to get involved. Pupils, students and staff are asked to wear ‘silly hats’ for the day on Friday 19th March and donate £1 to the worthy cause. Hats can be completely home-made or adapted existing hats, the choice is yours!

Also on the 19th March, pupils and students across all phases will also be invited to tell their joke, with a chance of winning a special prize in each phase. In the days before the event, staff and pupils will share their very own jokes to inspire others to join in the fun on the 19th March. Parents and carers can submit their child’s joke entry via email, by sending a video of them telling the joke to ComicRelief@Qegsblackburn.com.

Donations can be made in person on the day or via our JustGiving page, here. We will also have a limited number of red noses to sell in school that week, priced at £1.50 each.

Comic Relief raises money to support those living incredibly tough lives and to date, has raised over £1.3 billion. Red Nose Day donations help tackle important issues including homelessness, hunger, domestic abuse and mental health stigma, all of which have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
