On Sunday 18th May, Deputy Head Nick Vyse and a group of QEGS pupils attended Blackburn Cathedral to celebrate the inauguration of Councillor Jacqueline Slater as the new Mayor of Blackburn with Darwen, who will be supported in her civic role by the new Mayoress and former councillor Lillian Salton.
It was a great day, marked by a wonderful procession and a memorable service and our pupils were proud to attend and represent the school at this special civic occasion.
