After an unbeaten run of four matches in the Senior House Basketball competition, Hawkins-Ali House went into their final game feeling the pressure.
In a nail-biting match, they matched the points scored by Raleigh’s team basket for basket, back and forth until Bilal Malik (Year 10) scored the winning basket, a three-pointer, 30 seconds before the final whistle, making the final score 9-6 Hawkins-Ali.
Some smooth passing and communication from our sixth formers and some gutsy dribbling and possession from Year 10 and 11 meant that the team were unstoppable with some excellent scoring from David Bowlin and Hamza Mughal; they all should be rightly proud of their efforts.
